Lok Sabha Elections?
I think that I speak for most of the people of India when I say, “I am just fed up with the politicians and the corruption.” I think this is self explanatory and doesn’t need to be elaborated upon. We all saw the negative sentiment of the people against the politicians after the Mumbai terrorist attack. We are living in a country where you can buy almost anything ranging from an election ticket, elected office to a  religious position. We cannot organize a simple auction of flats without a scam or run a simple bus service without people getting killed. What more. You can even get away with murder. If you are not fed up then its time to wake up.

Mint, the newspaper, asked citizen’s opinion as to what should be done after the Mumbai Terror attacks. A huge number of suggestions were received. According to me, we should use the Paretos principle or the 80/20 rule to resolve our problem. This simply means that we focus on the vital few actions which will give the maximum results and not the trivial ones. I believe that the root cause of our problems are as follows:

(a) Ineffective law and order
  • Rampant corruption in all aspects of law enforcement
