How slow is our legal system? 6 years and no movement
It was reported in Hindustan Times that hearing an appeal by the CBI in the Delhi High Court against acquittal of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in a 1984 anti-sikh riot case has hardly made any progress since it was filed six years ago. The reason. Too many adjourments sought by various parties including witnesses. Frustration is evident when Justice BD Ahmed stated, “You file petitions for early hearing and then seek adjournments. You should abide by committments.”
This is exactly what I have been talking about when I say we need to deliver justice in a timely fashion. Let there be a fixed time for the disposal of every case. Also, lets limit the number of adjournments any party can seek. Such a step will automatically avoid the delay in delivery of justice and people will not be able to use the courts to their advantage.
Avinash Narula

Dear Avinash,
God forbids, we have a charter to clear & cleanse the total back log of cases right from sub divisional courts to supreme court of this country only in a year, but again the question is who will Bell the Cat?
Will you please take the trouble to meet me in person so that we can jointly materialize your dream to take charge of the affairs of this country in a most charismatic & dramatically manner.
I should have reached unto you, but dear being effaced to most indifferent health, I am not allowed to travel, on meeting you shall come to know of it yourself.
Rest on meeting if Almighty God, is willing a change through us–dr.amritgaur
